New year, new you…. Or not quite?

Raise your hand if you’ve been bombarded with “new year, new you” messages lately. 🤚

Social media feeds packed with sculpted physiques, emails touting miracle workouts – it’s enough to make anyone feel like they need a complete overhaul.

I even see it in new student inquiries, looking for a place to achieve their “new me” goals. It got me thinking about fitness, wellness, and how PCS fits into all of it.

As I journaled yesterday, I wrote down a variety of musings about PCS, our community, and what makes us unique. Among other things, this is what I wrote:

“Everyone deserves to feel at home in their body. To feel proud, confident, accomplished, and supported in their journey to be strong, independent, and capable.

PCS is about no ego. There should be no predetermined concept of what fitness and wellness is or should be but rather just meeting our clients where they are and helping them define what their specific journey and goals look like. Fitness and wellness IS NOT one size fits all, don’t let anyone tell you differently.”

So this year, my hope for everyone on the hunt for a new YOU, dig a little deeper and imagine the feelings you will feel when achieve your goals. Chase them unapologetically. Here are some ideas:

✨ I am worthy at any size, stage in life, or age

✨ I am proud of and grateful for my body and all it does

✨ I am in control of my body and my version of wellness is all my own

✨ I am resilent physically and mentally

✨ I am capable and can achieve my goals

✨ I am supported

✨ I am part of a community who cares about me

✨ I am SEEN fully, exactly as I am RIGHT NOW

Forget the pressure to fit into someone else’s mold; dream a little bigger.

Here’s to another amazing year together,

Keira
