PCS Level System

A Clear Path to Stronger, More Confident Movement

At PCS, Pilates is never random. Our structured Level System provides clear progression so you can build strength, skill, and confidence — safely and intentionally.

With over 40 small group classes each week (limited to 7 clients or fewer), you receive personalized attention while moving through a thoughtfully designed path.

Whether you’re brand new or returning to your practice, there is a place for you here.

Why a Level System?

Because real progress happens with structure.

Our levels are designed to:

  • Build foundational strength first

  • Develop control and coordination

  • Improve balance and endurance

  • Support safe, steady progression

Instead of guessing which class is right, you’ll know exactly where to begin — and how to grow..

The PCS Level System - Three Pillars of Progress:

As you progress through the PCS Levels, you'll cultivate essential skills in three key areas (Pillars of Progress)

  • Mind-Body Advancement | Strength, Stability, and Endurance: This includes building core strength, improving balance and coordination, enhancing concentration, and developing both physical and mental endurance.

  • Pilates Proficiency: You'll gain a deep understanding of the Pilates language and its core principles, enabling you to embrace this transformative practice fully.

  • Technical Mastery, Autonomy, and Safety: You'll progress from foundational exercises to mastering the Pilates apparatus, becoming confident in safely modifying your practice and equipment.

Level Progression:

Your instructors monitor your progress and recommend when you’re ready for the next level. Most clients progress every few months, depending on consistency and goals.

There is no rush — only intentional growth.

Not Sure Where to Start?

We recommend beginning with a 30-minute 1:1 Intro Session.
You’ll receive a brief assessment and personalized guidance so you feel confident stepping into your first class.

Let's explore each level in more detail to see how they help you achieve these goals below.

  • Level 0.5 is the perfect starting point for individuals with little Pilates experience. These classes cater to those eager to delve into the fundamentals of Pilates and gain a solid understanding of the system. Our expert instructors will guide you through a tailored curriculum, breaking down exercises to their core elements and ensuring a thorough comprehension of each movement. Classes at this level progress at a deliberate and comfortable pace, allowing you to absorb the foundational principles of Pilates confidently. Whether you're a newcomer seeking to explore the transformative benefits of Pilates or someone looking to refine your understanding of the basics, Level 0.5 provides a supportive environment for your fitness journey. Join us as we build a strong foundation, embracing Pilates practice's physical and mental aspects.

  • Level 1 is tailored for individuals who have acquired some experience in Pilates but are still in the early stages of exploration. These classes provide a supportive environment for those deepening their understanding of the Pilates system. Characterized by a deliberate and slower-paced approach, Level 1 classes are crafted to be gentle on the nervous system and focus on building stability and strength to build control as you progress to more coordinated movements. Our expert instructors guide you through a thoughtfully curated curriculum that integrates classical and contemporary Pilates language, principles, and technical know-how.  Level 1 classes are a safe place for approved injuries or conditions that may still be the guidance of an instructor’s knowledgeable eye as you are building autonomy within the Pilates System. Level 1 invites you to cultivate strength, grace, and a profound connection to your Pilates practice, whether just starting or aiming to enrich your foundational expertise.

  • Level 1.5 caters to individuals who have progressed beyond Level 1 but are not yet ready for the challenges of Level 2. This level is designed for those who have gained confidence in the basics learned in Levels 0.5 and 1. While still refining their foundation, participants at Level 1.5 are learning to keep pace with multi-coordinated movements and a faster-paced class structure. Whether you're seeking a bit more challenge as a beginner or aiming to refine your technique as a seasoned practitioner, Level 1.5 strikes the perfect balance. Join our expert instructors as they guide you through dynamic movements, seamlessly weaving classical and contemporary Pilates principles. Level 1.5 is where refinement meets versatility on your Pilates journey.

  • All Levels classes welcome individuals at Level 1.5 and beyond, providing a space for students to continue developing a solid foundation and understanding of the 3 Pillars of the PCS Level system: mind-body advancement, Pilates proficiency, and technical mastery for autonomy and safety. Serving as a melting pot that bridges various class levels, we emphasize attentiveness to your body, empowering you to choose personalized modifications comfortably and safely within your practice.

  • Level 2 classes are designed for individuals with a solid understanding of the Pilates system, including its language and concepts. This level is perfect for participants who feel confident handling the equipment (for example, standing on specialized apparatus) and executing multi-coordinated movements at a faster pace. Expect an invigorating experience that not only refines your technique but also tests your physical and mental endurance. Students should have solid mastery of the 3 pillars of the PCS level system, including strength, stability, coordination, concentration, and physical and mental endurance.

  • Level 3 represents the pinnacle of proficiency in the PCS Level System, and participation in these classes requires teacher approval. Reserved for individuals who have demonstrated exceptional mastery of the 3 Pillars of the PCS Level System, it is the epitome of challenge, control, refinement, coordination, and stamina. Students are expected to know not only the names and intricacies of the Pilates System repertoire but also their individual modifications and progressions, showcasing the ultimate goal of Pilates and autonomous, safe practice.
