“I came to Pilates Collective SLO in 2019 after a friend told me she’d just joined and felt like a goddess after class. Sounded pretty nice right?! I was just coming through one of the worst years of my life- I was diagnosed with cancer and survived two brain aneurysms just a couple months later. I actually kind of hated my body for a long time for letting all that happen and the pain that came along with it.

I signed up for a monthly package and was totally hooked from the beginning. I was having so much FUN trying new things and improving over time, I started to feel incredibly strong and realized my body was actually pretty powerful! My flexibility and balance have improved, as well as some pesky lower back pain that haunted me for years.

Pilates is such a beautiful practice- not only do I feel stronger with each class, but the movements require focus and concentration which completely blocks out all the stress and anxiety I tend to let build up! It’s like exercise and meditation all at once! I now focus more on my breathing, my posture, and really use my core in other activities like lifting, hiking, etc.

I love the atmosphere in the studio- sometimes we listen to music and sometimes it’s peaceful and quiet. But I always feel supported and encouraged to work hard! I also love that I can sign up for all my classes for the month in advance and that completely motivates me to show up time after time!!

The instructors at this studio are absolutely the reason I keep coming back week after week! They make me feel empowered and capable, even when we’re trying new things that look impossible. Each instructor is SO knowledgeable and makes class fun and challenging!

Pilates has become a staple of my weekly routine- I come three times a week religiously and feel so strong and centered afterwards. I love the variety of classes they offer and especially the small class size to offer a really personal experience. I absolutely recommend Pilates Collective SLO to anyone looking to build a routine, gain strength and confidence, and increase balance and stability. Your body will thank you!”
