Class Offerings and descriptions

 

THE FUNDAMENTALS.  fun·da·men·tal (adjective): forming a necessary base or core; of central importance. We couldn't have said it better!  Our Fundamentals class is designed for anyone looking to get more from their practice.  It is a great start for those who are new to Pilates and needing more information about correct body positions, breathing techniques and tips to understand their bodies.  Its also a great class for those who want to take their form and understanding of their bodies and Pilates to the next level by rediscovering the core principals of the method.

Your practice in this class will include but is not limited to: Pelvic Lumbar Stabilization, Neutral Spine, Transverse Abdominal Engagement, Intercostal Breathing, Pelvic Floor Engagement, and Fundamental (or Pre-Pilates) Pilates Exercises.

 

REFORM 1.  Designed for beginners as well as those working to maintain or add to their foundational knowledge of both classical and contemporary Pilates principles. These classes are a great introduction to help you build core strength and stability, heighten body awareness, and develop lean and toned muscles. This class will help you build the foundation needed to advance to our next level, Reform 2.  50-minute class.

 

REFORM 2.  A faster-paced class designed for clients looking to take their practice to the next level. This class will test your endurance, stability, and stamina through both classical and contemporary repertoire. 50-minute class. 

 

REFORM 3 | ADVANCED CLASSICAL REFORMER.  Designed to challenge the mind and body equally in the pursuit of practicing the Classical Repertoire as created by Joseph Pilates. Participants will perform the classical order of the mat, reformer and the chair in a small group setting with special emphasis on pace and breath to train mental and physical endurance.  Be prepared to focus and sweat.  Reform 1 and 2 or previous classical Pilates training are required before attending this class. A solid Pilates foundation of strength, endurance and terminology are also required.  This class is not intended for beginners.  50-minute class.  

 

REBOOT | PILATES BOOTCAMP. The perfect blend of pilates-inspired strength training utilizing the Pilates reformer and bursts of cardio intervals on the mat.  Our goals are: increasing your heart rate, getting sweaty and having a great time!  You may see interval challenges such as burpees, push-ups and box jumps, but don't be intimated, each participant is welcome to take the cardio intervals at their own pace.  50-minute class.  Enjoy a lunch-sized, 45-minute version as well!

 

PRENATAL PILATES. This class is specially geared toward expectant moms and their needs.  Participants will utilize the reformers, chairs, small barrels/spine correctors as needed to acquire and maintain strength, endurance, flexibility and relaxation through pregnancy.  50-minute class.

 

FT REFORMER FUSION. Enjoy a mix of contemporary-style Pilates and Dr. Eric Goodman's "Foundation Training". Developed by Chiropractors, Foundation Training is a sequence of positions and movements that strengthen, heal, and re-educate the body.  Participants will learn to functionally move in space by implementing the various muscular chains of the body with a focus on deep muscular breathing. Combined with Pilates, this class will dive into decompressing the vertebral discs in the spine, deep breathing techniques and core stability/strength.  50-minute class.  

 

FOAM ROLLING AND FOUNDATION TRAINING. Class includes 15-minutes of Foam Rolling followed by Dr. Eric Goodman's "Foundation Training". Developed by Chiropractors, Foundation Training is a sequence of positions and movements that strengthen, heal, and re-educate the body. Participants will learn to functionally move in space by implementing the various muscular chains of the body, with a focus on deep muscular breathing. Foundation Training is essential for spinal health, can relieve low back pain, and develop core strength. Let's breathe big, and strengthen your spine! 50-minute class.
